      Phnom Penh, Cambodia - 03/02/2017: Boeng Kak community land rights activist Bov Sophea calling for the release of prominent woman land rights activist Tep Vanny during a trial of her outside the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. Tep Vanny was arrested by authorities during the demonstration of 15th 'Black Monday' campaign on 15 August 2016. The 15th 'Black Monday' meaning the four human rights workers of cambodian human rights NGO ADHOC and an election official have been imprisoned for 15 weeks. Many activists claim that this is an wrongfully imprisoned and they have been held a demonstration against the government for the release of 5 prisoners of conscience every Monday. On 22 August 2016, Tep Vanny was convicted of ‘insulting a public official’ relating to the demonstration. Consequently, she was sentenced to six days imprisonment and fined 80,000Riel (20USD). However, she was not released even after 6 days. She was given an additional charges of 'inciting violence' relating to a protest in 2013 in front of Prime Minister Hun Sen's house. Since then, She has been still detained by the political power.
