Big files, slow connections and browsers that fall over are the normal conditions for a media library, not the exception. Uploads here go up in parts and pick up where they stopped, so a dropped session costs you the last few megabytes rather than the whole morning.

How the upload works
The difference matters most on exactly the files you care about most — the big ones.

Chunked, not one long stream
Files go up in parts. A part that fails retries on its own instead of taking the whole file down with it.

Resumable
Close the tab, lose the connection or crash the browser. Come back and the upload carries on from the last part that finished.

Parallel, so it is fast
Parts go up alongside each other, which uses the bandwidth you actually have rather than one thread of it.

Straight into the right place
Choose the library and the folder before you start. Files land where they belong instead of in a holding pen somebody has to sort out later.
File drop
Let someone outside send you files
Photographers, agencies, colleagues at a partner organisation — people who need to give you files but should never have a login. Send them a file drop link and what they upload arrives in the library you chose, with limits you set when you made it.
- A link, not an account. Nothing for them to sign up to or install
- Files land in the library you picked when you created the drop
- Set an expiry date, and a cap on how many files can come through it
- The same resumable upload, so a contributor on a hotel connection can still file a full shoot
