Digital asset and consent management for healthcare
Photographs of patients, staff and facilities in one library. Consent is recorded against the individual in each one, and a single action takes every image of them out of circulation when somebody changes their mind.
For your media library, not patient records
A hospital, trust or clinic photographs far more than patients on a ward: new facilities, staff and recruitment shots, equipment, events, fundraising campaigns, patient stories told with permission.
This is what LightRocket is built for: preserving and safeguarding your media library. It isn't a clinical imaging system. It doesn't hold patient records, and it's not where a radiograph belongs (usually the first thing anyone in a hospital asks us).
What we do hold is consent for each person in every photograph you publish. That means a campaign doesn't keep running a year after someone's withdrawn their consent, and a recruitment page doesn't carry a photo of a staff member who's since left.

One library
One media library for communications, fundraising and recruitment media, in place of a drive per team or a folder per campaign.
Accurate search
Find the photograph you're thinking of by keyword, caption, ward, campaign or date, rather than by asking whoever took it.
Who can see what
Access by role and the freedome to set granular permissions. Comms downloads at full resolution, an external partner sees only the shoot they were hired for, and neither reaches the rest of the team.
Sending files
Send a link that expires and caps downloads, or that is watermarked if the file is going out for approval rather than for use.
Consent linked to the person
The consent record travels with the person, not the photograph, so it's checked against every image of them, no matter when it was taken.
A record of what happened
Every download and share is logged, so a question about where an image has been used is answered from the record rather than from memory.
Signed once, covered on every campaign
Consent is collected at the time of the shoot. A release form is signed and gets linked to the person through our system, covering every photograph they're in.

Whether someone's consent is still valid becomes something you can check in a few seconds, not something that goes wrong quietly and surfaces in public.
Questions healthcare organisations ask
Is this a clinical imaging system?
No. It holds communications, fundraising and recruitment media, not clinical images. Those belong in your clinical systems. This is for your media library.
How is consent collected?
A consent form is signed by the subject at the time of the shoot. The signed consent or ‘release form’ is then linked to the person straight away, so it covers every photograph of them from that point on.
What happens when someone withdraws consent?
Every image covered by that consent comes out of circulation in one action, and the audit trail records it. Share links that were already sent stop working.
Where is the data held?
On AWS, encrypted in transit and at rest, inside a network of its own. We can share exactly where and in which region, along with our full infrastructure and disaster recovery detail, on request. See the security page for more.
Does consent cover every use of a photo, or just the first one?
Every use. Once someone's consent is recorded, it covers every photograph of them, in every campaign, for as long as it's valid.
Do you charge per user?
Not until you go past your package's allowance. Comms, fundraising and recruitment teams can usually add a few extra people, an external partner, a locum, before it affects the pricing.
